I’m not a big bbq fan. Actually I love the taste but since there is no polite way to eat ribs I stay away from them. You might occasionally catch me
at a picnic trying to get a few ribs before the sauce is put on; but other than that, I stay away from messy foods.
I’ve been to Famous Daves back home so it wasn’t new to me. What was new to me was that it was the first time (that I can think of) that I’ve been to a restaurant and the hostess has not asked “smoking or non smoking”. Then I recalled hearing something about no smoking in certain places in certain states…I need to keep up with the laws.
I was quite pleased because I can’t stand the smell of smoke, especially when I am eating, but a few minutes after sitting down I caught of whiff of some cigarette smoke. I couldn’t tell where it was coming from until a few minutes later when I saw someone smoking at the bar. So you can smoke at the bar but not at the tables? How does it work?
Pros:
The food came fast
The potato salad was great…I am really picky about potato salad.
The temperature was nice. Usually I am freezing cold in restaurants.
Neutral
There were many sauces but they didn’t quite suit my taste. The closest thing to regular bbq sauce was the Rich & Sassy; which happened to be the last thing I dipped my chicken fingers in after trying Texas Pit, Devil Spit, Sweet & Zest. I didn’t try the Georgia Mustard sauce.
