That sure is a pretty wedding dress; but the story behind it isn’t so grand. I was reading the Washington Post I happen to come across an article on Joy Jackson. Its about an ex-stripper turned millionaire mortgage broker who allegedly scammed people out of their home equity thereby paying for her lavish lifestyle including a $800,000 wedding. Tongue twister huh?
The article is good read and makes you think about how important it is to properly manage your money…and to research these so called “home saving” opportunities.
One of Jacksons clients said “…the firm promised to keep her home from going into foreclosure and to get her a mortgage with a lower interest rate. She signed on. Now the deed is no longer in her name, and $100,000 in equity is gone .”
Homeowners who used her mortgage services say they have lost roughly $60 million and have filed a lawsuit.
